How can we help you?
Find all the answers to your Nando’s questions in our FAQs or by getting in touch with one of the team.
I have a food allergy, can I check your list of ingredients?
If you have a food allergy or intolerance, please speak to a member of our team before ordering. Our Nandocas can provide additional information about the ingredients in our menu items via our allergen booklet.
Our food is prepared in kitchens where allergens are present, so we can't guarantee that any dish is completely allergen-free. Cross-contamination can happen during preparation, cooking or serving, but we'll always do our best to accommodate your dietary and allergen requirements.
Please note: Menu items and recipes may change. For the most up-to-date allergen information, please check with our team in Casa before ordering.
Can you accommodate special cooking preferences?
We'll always do our best. Whether you prefer your eggs sunny-side up or have another cooking request, let us know when ordering and we’ll do our best to accommodate. Please note: Any request for raw or undercooked food is made at your own discretion, as consuming these foods may increase the risk of foodborne illness.
Are Nando’s Chicken Organic?
All our Chickens are A-grade. We source the healthiest possible chickens, but there is currently not sufficient supply of organic chickens locally to enable us to make our chickens organic.
Do Nando’s products or sauces contain gluten?
Nando’s does not add ingredients that contain gluten to any of our sauces. This includes sauces used for the preparation of our flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken and table sauces.
There is however gluten present in the following items on the menu:
- Nando’s Rolls
- Nando’s Wraps
- Nando’s Pita
- Vegetable Patty
- Desserts
Animal Welfare Statement
As a chicken restaurant group, we know we have a responsibility to ensure that every aspect of how we source our chicken (and how our partners source our eggs) meets the best international and local standards. When it comes to our chickens, whether we are talking quarters, halfs, fulls or eggs, animal welfare is a top priority. Our carefully selected suppliers maintain stringent animal welfare requirements. Our animal welfare policies are in line with required standards to ensure that all our poultry is of the highest quality and is 100% safe to eat. Our suppliers are routinely evaluated by third party auditors to ensure that our high standards are consistently upheld. For all our restaurants, including those that serve breakfast, our chicken is fresh, hormone and steroid-free and locally sourced and our eggs are free-range eggs.
Do you use free range eggs?
Improving animal welfare standards is important to Nando’s.
As part of this strategy, we are working towards a global strategy to source cage-free eggs across our global business. Currently, cage-free eggs are not available in all markets in which Nando’s operates but we are committed to achieve the goal of 100% free range eggs used as both whole and as an ingredient within these markets by 2030.
We believe that by both joining the global drive to source cage-free eggs and working closely with our suppliers we will be able to move to 100% free range eggs (including whole eggs and eggs as an ingredient) in New Zealand and Australia by 2023; North America and South Africa by 2025; and Malaysia and Singapore by 2027.
